Kanzashi figure, in raw black stoneware

This hand build, coiled, Kanzashi figure is made from raw black stoneware clay.  It's approximately 23 inches tall and 11 inches wide.  Although there is an opening on the top of the figure, this is not a vase, and is built out of sculptural clay which does not hold water.
